| Summary, etc. | L’objet de cet article est d’analyser si les réformes engagées en France pour moderniser les universités publiques ont conduit au déploiement de pratiques basées sur du New Public Management. L’étude est fondée sur une analyse détaillée des 7 dimensions du New Public Management telles que définies par Hood (1991). Les résultats dévoilent une évolution en accordéon : si certaines pratiques tendent vers le déploiement de pratiques relevant du New Public Management, les universités conservent des principes d’une organisation centrée sur l’État et sur la collégialité. |

| Summary, etc. | – The purpose of this article is to analyse whether the reforms undertaken in France to modernise public universities have led to the deployment of practices based on New Public Management. The study is based on secondary sources (academic, governmental and regulatory) published in French and English and on Hood’s (1991) seven dimensions of New Public Management. The results reveal an accordion-like evolution: while certain practices tend towards the deployment of New Public Management, universities retain the principles of a model centred on the State and the collegiality. |
