| Summary, etc. | RésuméCet article cherche à approfondir notre compréhension psychanalytique d’une tentative de suicide chez une adolescente. L’acte suicidaire est à appréhender comme la mise en acte d’un fantasme suicidaire. Après avoir étudié la nature et la fonction des différents types de fantasme suicidaire, l’auteur se focalise sur celui de sa patiente. Pendant la phase pré-suicidaire, le père de la patiente – en particulier son incapacité à revendiquer sa fille ou à se présenter soit comme rival amical de la mère soit comme objet de rechange – joue un rôle crucial dans l’état psychique de l’adolescente, comme en témoignent le transfert de la patiente et le contre-transfert de l’analyste. Un aspect fondamental de la dynamique qui s’enclenche pendant la thérapie d’un patient pré-suicidaire est la tentative de celui-ci pour forcer son analyste à participer, en collusion avec lui, dans le scénario suicidaire de façon à ce que l’analyste « autorise » ou « cause » le passage à l’acte suicidaire. Ces hypothèses sont illustrées par des extraits du matériel clinique d’une adolescente qui fit une tentative de suicide au cours de son analyse. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper is a contribution to psychoanalytic understanding of a suicide attempt by an adolescent girl. The suicide act is understood to be the enactment of a suicide fantasy. The paper considers the nature and function of suicide fantasy, various types of suicide fantasies, and the suicide fantasy of this particular patient. The author maintains that during the pre-suicide state the role of the father, particularly the father’s failure to claim his child for himself, or failure to present himself as a friendly rival or alternative object to the mother, plays a critical role in the mind of the patient, and will be manifest in the patient’s transference and the analyst’s counter-transference. An essential dynamic during the treatment of a pre-suicidal patient is the patient’s attempt to evoke or provoke the analyst to collude in the suicide scenario in such a way as to « sanction or to « cause » the patient’s suicide. These points will be illustrated by the presentation of case material of an adolescent girl who attempted suicide during her analysis. |
