Résumé — L’auteur interroge l’éthique de l’analyste atteint d’une maladie grave, reprenant le problème posé par Paul Denis en 2005 du déni à l’œuvre chez l’analyste, et propose le recours à un tiers supervisant sa pratique dans les cas où l’analyste peut mener de front les traitements nécessaires à sa survie et une pratique professionnelle ; une inscription dans la déontologie professionnelle de ce principe permettrait aussi à l’institution une intervention tierce. À la fin de la vie professionnelle de l’analyste, on pourrait s’inspirer de la durée limitée du mandat des formateurs nouvellement instaurée pour que, après un certain âge, l’analyste ait à faire une démarche auprès de l’institution analytique pour prolonger son activité. |

| Summary, etc. | Illness and ethics Summary — The author considers the question of the ethical position taken by seriously ill analysts in the light of Paul Denis 2005 paper on the question of analyst’s denial. He proposes, as a solution, the recourse to a third party who could conceivably supervise an analyst’s practice in cases in which the latter were still able to conduct treatment and thus ensure the latter’s continued professional activity. An inscription of this possibility in the professional code of ethics would, moreover, authorise the intervention of such a third party in the context of institutions. Regarding the question of the end of an analyst’s professional activity, one might perhaps consider that, just as in the case of newly recruited teachers who are recruited only for a limited period, an analyst should, after a certain age, have to request the analytic institution for authorisation to continue his activity. |

Resumen — El autor interroga la ética del analista aquejado por una enfermedad grave, retomando el problema planteado por Paul Denis en el 2005 sobre la renegación presente en el analista y propone recurrir a un tercero que supervise su práctica en los casos en que el analista pueda implicarse al mismo tiempo en los tratamientos necesarios para su supervivencia y en su práctica profesional ; inscribir en la deontología profesional el principio también permitiría la intervención de un tercero en la institución. En relación con el final de la vida profesional del analista podríamos inspirarnos en la duración limitada del mandato de los formadores acaecida recientemente para que luego de determinada edad, el analista prolongue su actividad, tramitándola en la institución analítica. |

Zusammenfassung — Der Autor befragt die Ethik des Analytikers mit einer schweren Krankheit ; er nimmt das Problem der Verneinung des Analytikers, von Paul Denis 2005 erwähnt, wieder auf und schlägt den Ausweg einer Drittperson, als Supervisor, vor, in den Fällen, in denen der Analytiker fähig ist, die für sein Überleben notwendige Behandlung zu übernehmen und gleichzeitig eine berufliche Praxis zu führen ; eine Einschreibung in der beruflichen Deontologie dieses Prinzips könnte auch der Institution erlauben, als Drittfigur einzugreifen. Am Ende des beruflichen Lebens des Analytykers könnte man sich von der neu installierten begrenzten Dauer des Mandats der Formatoren inspirieren lassen, damit, nach einem gewissen Alter, der Analytiker Schritte unternehmen muss bei seiner analytischen Institution, um seine Aktivität weiterzuführen. |

Riassunto — Si discute l’etica dell’analista affetto da malattia grave, e viene riesaminato il problema del diniego messo in atto dallo psicoanalista, problema sollevato da Paul Denis nel 2005. L’autore propone il ricorso ad un terzo, supervisore della sua pratica, nel caso in cui l’analista possa portare avanti contemporaneamente le cure necessarie alla sua sopravvivenza e una pratica professionale ; l’iscrizione di questo principio nella deontologia professionale permetterebbe anche all’istituzione di intervenire assumendo la funzione di terzo. Si potrebbe prendere spunto dalla recente instaurazione di una durata limitata del mandato degli analisti didatti, per far si’ che, alla fine della vita professionale, oltre una certa età, l’analista debba inoltrare una domanda presso la società analitica per protrarre la sua attività. |
