| Summary, etc. | This article offers a narrative synthesis on public celebrations based on studies of the governance of practices. These events have been little studied by management science even though they have been central to the management policies of French urban towns since the 1980s. This synthesis reveals five models for including the public in the celebrations, depending on the town policies. It also highlights their multiscalarity and the limits of this approach. Finally, various managerial and societal implications are identified and avenues of research proposed. |

| Summary, etc. | Cet article propose une synthèse narrative sur les fêtes publiques à partir des travaux sur la gouvernementalité des pratiques. Ces événements ont été peu étudiés en gestion alors qu’ils sont centraux dans les politiques des villes urbaines françaises depuis les années 1980. Cette synthèse dévoile cinq modèles d’inclusion des publics dans la fête selon les politiques des villes. Elle met aussi au jour leur multiscalarité et les limites de l'approche. En conclusion, différentes implications managériales et sociétales ainsi que des voies de recherche sont proposées. |
