| Summary, etc. | Nous proposons ici une revue de littérature portant sur la grande entreprise en nous interrogeant sur les conditions de possibilité et les incarnations historiques de ce qui la fonde, l’investissement capitalistique. Nous abordons deux périodes cruciales pour cette forme organisationnelle : la mise en place de la grande entreprise intégrée à la fin du XIXe siècle et la révolution actionnariale à la fin du XXe siècle. Tout en évoquant notamment la mise au point des supports juridiques de l’investissement capitalistique et les conséquences pour les salariés de l’adoption de la valeur actionnariale, nous nous concentrons sur la question des relations entre actionnaires et managers. |

| Summary, etc. | Business and its Shareholders Here we present a review of the literature on big business and investigate the conditions for its existence and the historic incarnations of what is its foundation, capitalistic investment. We look at two critical periods for this organizational form: the establishment of integrated big businesses at the end of the nineteenth century and the shareholder revolution at the end of the twentieth century. While referring in particular to the development of legal support for capitalistic investment and the consequences for employees for the adoption of shareholder value, we focus on the issue of relations between shareholders and managers. |

| Summary, etc. | Proponemos aquí un repaso a la literatura relativa a la gran empresa, interrogándonos acerca de las condiciones de posibilidad y las encarnaciones históricas de lo que la fundamenta, i.e. la inversión capitalista. Nos enfocaremos en dos periodos de encrucijada para esta forma de organización: el establecimiento de la gran empresa integrada a finales del s. XIX y la revolución accionarial a finales del s. XX. Evocaremos, entre otros, la elaboración de los soportes jurídicos de la inversión capitalística y las consecuencias para los asalariados de la adopción del valor accionarial, así como nos centraremos en la cuestión de las relaciones entre accionistas y managers. |

| Summary, etc. | Wir schlagen hier eine Literaturübersicht zu den Großunternehmen vor und stellen uns dabei die Frage zu den Bedingungen und Möglichkeiten sowie zu der historischen Verkörperung, die ihr zugrunde liegt, nämlich die Kapitalinvestition. Wir betrachten zwei grundwichtige Perioden dieser Organisationsform: die Einführung der integrierten Großunternehmen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts und die Aktionärsrevolution Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts. Wir erwähnen in diesem Zusammenhang besonders die Entwicklung der juristischen Grundlagen der Kapitalinvestition sowie die Folgen für die Arbeitnehmer der Akzeptierung des Anteilwertes und behandeln eingehend die Frage der Beziehungen zwischen den Aktionären und den Managern. |
