| Summary, etc. | Lancées au seuil des années 2000, les enquêtes PISA (Programme international sur les acquisitions des élèves) s’inscrivent dans un contexte européen spécifique marqué par l’objectif d’instaurer une politique européenne en matière d’éducation, et caractérisé par la montée d’une gouvernance dite "douce" par le biais du benchmarking, i.e. une gouvernance se voulant suggestive, fondée sur des indicateurs comparatifs censés alimenter une saine émulation. Après avoir décrit brièvement ce contexte, le texte rappellera les principales caractéristiques techniques de ces enquêtes, avant de développer une discussion sur ce qu’elles apportent, ainsi que sur les dérives possibles : peuvent-elles prétendre constituer aujourd’hui un instrument sans faille pour des comparaisons internationales des systèmes éducatifs, et/ou un levier pour des transformations et des politiques visant ces systèmes ? |

| Summary, etc. | Launched at the beginning of the 21rst century, PISA surveys (Programme for international student assessment) whose have been a part of a specific European context, whose purpose is to establish a European policy in the education field, and are characterized by the development of a soft governance through benchmarking, that is a supposed suggestive one only, based on comparative indicators, supposed to foster a sound emulation. After having rapidly described this context, the paper will recall the main technical characteristics of these surveys, before developing the following discussion: can they claim to make up perfect tools for international comparisons of educational systems, and/or an efficient lever for some changes or policies concerning these systems? |
