| Summary, etc. | RésuméDans les années 1970-1980, les ingénieurs des télécommunications français dessinent un marché avant l’heure, en introduisant sur le papier les figures d’un abonné calculateur et d’un tarif plus stratégique que déterminé par le calcul d’un prix de revient. Le goût du calcul conduit les ingénieurs à élaborer de nouveaux découpages, impliquant des choix de valeurs et une morale économique renouvelée. Ils se donnent ainsi un espace de calcul élargi, en lançant à la fois une « réforme tarifaire » et une économie académique des réseaux. Entre ces rationalisations matérielle et formelle, nous montrons que le lien est à double sens. |

| Summary, etc. | In the 1970 and 1980s, French telecommunications engineers draw before time a market, by introducing on the paper the figures of a strategic tariff and a calculating customer. This shift offers them an expanded area of calculation, and will encourage them to initiate a tariff reform and an academic economy of networks. Between economics and economy, this article shows a bidirectional link. The taste of calculation led engineers to develop new ways of framing the networks, involving choices of values and a renewed economic morality. |
