| Summary, etc. | La guerre de la Russie contre l'Ukraine a engendré des flux migratoires massifs en provenance des deux pays. Dans ce court texte, j’évoque la nouvelle diaspora russe en Estonie - un groupe relativement restreint de citoyens russes qui ont fui leur pays après la reprise de la guerre en Ukraine le 24 février 2022. Ces exilés constituent ce que l'on pourrait appeler la « Russie extérieure », avec ses propres discours de victimisation, de culpabilité et de responsabilité morale – et largement symbolique – dans la guerre. Mon intérêt est de découvrir quels récits et quelles significations politiques sont produits par les Russes anti-guerre et anti-Poutine émigrés en Estonie, mais aussi comment ces récits sont communiqués, à quels publics ils s'adressent et comment ils construisent l'agence de la nouvelle diaspora russe. Je cherche également à savoir comment ces récits intrinsèquement nationaux et centrés sur la Russie sont adaptés à l'agenda politique estonien et – dans un sens plus large – européen. |

| Summary, etc. | Russia’s war against Ukraine engendered mass migration flows from both countries. In this short essay, I discuss the new Russian diaspora in Estonia—a relatively small group of Russian citizens who fled their country after Russia launched its new war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. These escapees constitute what might be dubbed “external Russia,” with its own discourses of victimhood, guilt, and moral—and largely symbolic—responsibility for the war. My aim is to find out what narratives and political meanings are being produced by the anti-war and anti-Putin Russians who have emigrated to Estonia, how these narratives are communicated, what audiences they are aimed at, and how they construct the agency of the new Russian diaspora. I also seek to understand how these inherently domestic and Russia-centric narratives are adjusted to the Estonian and—in a broader sense—European political agenda. |
