Summary, etc. | Cet article évoque l’usage des enfants dans la publicité de la reconstruction éducative lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. L’exemple de la communauté, Village d’enfants Pestalozzi, de Trogen en Suisse, fondé en 1946, est pris comme exemple. Les enfants victimes de la guerre deviennent des agents de la reconstruction éducative et de l’Europe grâce à la publicité faite, à travers la photographie et le cinéma, autour de leurs expériences et de leurs conditions de vie. Sans les cantonner au statut de victimes, les campagnes de publicité destinées à lever des fonds mettent en scène les enfants comme acteurs de leur propre histoire tandis qu’elles assignent les enfants des écoles suisses à un rôle d’agents de promotion publicitaire en les faisant participer à des ventes au bénéfice des premiers, les uns et les autres œuvrant au final de concert à mettre en avant la même idée d’une Suisse fédéraliste, modèle pour l’Europe au sortir de la guerre, dont cette communauté d’enfants solidaire et unie est censée être une incarnation en miniature. |

Summary, etc. | This article discusses the use of children in advertising for educational reconstruction during the Second World War. The example of the Pestalozzi Children’s Village in Trogen, Switzerland, founded in 1946, serves as a case study. The children, victims of the war, became agents of educational reconstruction and of Europe thanks to the publicity given to their experiences and living conditions through photography and film. Without confining them to the status of victims, the advertising campaigns intended to raise funds by putting the children in the spotlight as actors of their own history, all while assigning Swiss school children the role of advertising promoters by having the latter participate in sales for the benefit of the former. Ultimately, both worked together to put forward the idea of a federalist Switzerland, a model for Europe after the war, which this united and supportive community of children was designed to incarnate, in miniature. |
