| Summary, etc. | RESUME Dans la France de l’après-guerre, de plus en plus d’intellectuels se saisissent de la bannière anticolonialiste, en particulier lors de la guerre d’Algérie. Parmi eux, ceux qui se réclament encore du surréalisme n’en sont pas à leur coup d’essai. De la guerre du Rif à la crise éthiopienne, en passant par les événements de Yen Bay ou l’Exposition coloniale, ils affichaient déjà un anticolonialisme total en ce sens qu’ils rejetaient le colonialisme dans son principe. Or leur revendication, si elle s’adosse à celle du Parti communiste, est aussi le fruit de leur sensibilité à une série de représentations qu’ils élaborent dans leur écriture ; le Primitif, le Nègre ou l’Oriental forgent, de proche en proche, leur conception du Colonisé. Cette approche culturelle les prédispose à prendre conscience des mythes colonialistes comme ceux de « mission civilisatrice » ou d’ « humanisme colonial » qui, selon les surréalistes, trompent l’Europe entière. Leur anticolonialisme procède alors d’une déconstruction de ce que Roland Barthes qualifie de « mythe de l’impérialité française ». |

| Summary, etc. | ABSTRACT After the World War II in France, more and more intellectuals adopt the anticolonialist cause, particularly during the Algerian war. For the ones, among them, affiliated to surrealism, this is not a new commitment. On the occasion of the Rif war or the Ethiopian crisis, during the Yen Bay insurrection or the Colonial Exhibition of 1931, they had expressed a radical anticolonialism position, by refusing the principle of colonialism itself. Not only linked to their affiliation to the Communist Party, this claim is also the result of their interest in otherness largely expressed in their writings ; the Primitive, the Negro or the Oriental represent the different images of the Colinized. This cultural approach enables them to underline what they consider as colonial myths, such as the « civilization task » or the « colonial humanism », spread all over Europe. Thus, their anticolonialism is a dismantling of the « myth of French imperiality », as qualified by Roland Barthes. |
