Cette section, composée d’une quinzaine de magistrats, s’est installée à Poitiers le 3 novembre 1870, avant de rejoindre Pau quelques semaines plus tard. | Summary, etc. | In the autumn of 1870, in order to ensure the continuity of the judicial organisation following the « debacle », the National Defence government created a section of the Court of Cassation to sit in the regions. This section, composed of some fifteen magistrates, set up in Poitiers on 3 November 1870, before moving to Pau a few weeks later. This study retraces this little-known episode in the history of the Court of Cassation. |
