| Summary, etc. | Fin 1923, début 1924, deux membres du « Comité secret », Ferenczi et Rank, publient Perspectives de la psychanalyse, essai qui cherchait à répondre à la question posée par Freud en 1922 concernant l’influence de la technique sur la théorie et réciproquement. Rank, de son côté, fait paraître au même moment Le traumatisme de la naissance. Ces deux publications soulèvent de vives critiques et un conflit interne de la part des autres membres du Comité. Les principales raisons de l’hostilité soulevée étaient liées au fait que certaines méthodes théorico-techniques proposées semblaient revenir à l’idée d’abréger la longueur des cures et parmi elles, la « technique active » avancée par Ferenczi. Il pourrait cependant apparaître à la lecture de Perspectives que certaines propositions relevaient d’un désir de pallier l’absence de concepts théoriques concernant la place de l’objet primaire et de ses incidences transférentielles, dont le contre-transfert, dans la pratique analytique. |

| Summary, etc. | At the end of 1923 and the beginning of 1924, two members of the “Secret Committee”, Ferenczi and Rank published The Development of Psychoanalysis, an essay that sought to answer the question raised by Freud in 1922 concerning the influence of the technique on the theory and vice-versa. At the same time Rank published The Trauma of Birth. These two publications led to sharp criticism and an internal conflict between the other members of the Committee. The main reasons for the hostility were linked to the fact that certain theoretical and technical methods proposed seemed to return to the idea of shortening the length of treatments, particularly the “active technique” proposed by Ferenczi. However, from a reading of The Development of Psychoanalysis one could conclude that certain propositions stemmed from a wish to make up for the absence of theoretical concepts concerning the place of the primary object and of its transference effects, including the countertransference, in analytic practice. |

Rank, por su lado, da luz en el mismo momento al Trauma del nacimiento. Las dos publicaciones provocarán agudas críticas y un conflicto interno con otros miembros del Comité. Las causas principales de la hostilidad provocada estaban relacionadas con el hecho de que ciertos métodos teórico-técnicos propuestos parecen volver a la idea de acortar la duración de las curas y en éstas, la “técnica activa” avanzada por Ferenczi. Sin embargo podría vislumbrarse con la lectura de Perspectivas que algunas proposiciones manifestaban el deseo de paliar la ausencia de conceptos teóricos concernientes al lugar del objeto primario y sus incidencias transferenciales, entre otras la contratransferencia, en la práctica analítica. |
