| Summary, etc. | Pierre Marty and Michel de M’Uzan first described “operational thinking” (pensée opératoire) at the Congress for French-Speaking Psychoanalysts in 1962. The Paris Institute of Psychosomatics (IPSO), a day hospital at the time, was founded by Simone Veil, then Minister of Health, in 1978. Pierre Marty, the Institute’s medical director, and Michel Fain were closely involved; the latter gave numerous seminars there, mainly theoretical, while Marty conducted consultations known as “psychosomatic investigations” and supervised all the treatments carried out at the Institute. The author reminds us of Marty’s oral teachings on the technique with patients who function in an “operational” mode. |

Pierre Marty, médico director, y Michel Fain estuvieron presentes; éste último daba por entonces numerosos seminarios, básicamente teóricos, mientras Marty conducía las consultas llamadas “investigaciones psicosomáticas” y supervisaba todas las curas llevadas a cabo en el Instituto. El autor se aboca a repasar las enseñanzas orales de Marty sobre la técnica con pacientes con funcionamiento operatorio. |

Pierre Marty, médecin directeur, et Michel Fain y étaient très présents ; ce dernier y donnait de nombreux séminaires, essentiellement théoriques, alors que Marty menait les consultations nommées « investigations psychosomatiques » et supervisait toutes les cures menées à l’Institut. L’auteur s’attache à rappeler les enseignements oraux de Marty sur la technique avec des patients dont le fonctionnement est opératoire. |
