| Summary, etc. | Sala, qui laissa manuscrite son œuvre tout entière, pose un double problème à la réception, d’abord du fait de ce refus de l’imprimerie, d’autre part parce qu’il goûte fort et connaît bien les récits arthuriens dont il a donné au moins deux réécritures avec Le Chevalier au lion et Tristan. Du fait de ces deux points qui orientent Sala vers le passé, il a parfois été tentant de voir en lui un « attardé ». Pourtant, des travaux critiques récents voient plutôt en lui un précurseur dans son rapport aux images et aux dispositifs de ses manuscrits. |
