| Summary, etc. | Sur les quatre-vingt-cinq articles sur l’histoire de l’optique que nous avons répertoriés, cinquante-cinq portent sur la période choisie, qui s’étend principalement du xviie au xxe siècle. Nous avons limité notre étude à l’optique physique et géométrique, parfois en lien avec l’astronomie, et ainsi choisi d’examiner trente-sept articles qui, de fait, expriment une pluralité de points de vue et aspirent à rendre compte essentiellement des progrès de la science. Par l’analyse de leur contenu, on voit que l’approche de l’optique par son histoire est surtout conceptuelle et instrumentale et, plus rarement, sociale. |

| Summary, etc. | We identified 85 articles on the history of optics, of which 55 concern our period (seventeenth to twentieth centuries). Limiting our study to physical and geometrical optics, sometimes in connection with astronomy, we have selected 37 articles expressing a plurality of points of view, although they all aim to account for the progress of the science of optics. By analyzing their content, we show that the approach to optics through its history is essentially conceptual and instrumental and, more rarely, social. |
