| Summary, etc. | Les études consacrées au rôle des institutions urbaines dans la vie religieuse des citadins insistent surtout sur ses manifestations collectives, comme les processions ou les messes commémorant des grands moments de l’histoire de la ville. Cet article propose au contraire de se pencher sur les pratiques individuelles de piété des habitants de Ratisbonne aux XIVe et XVe siècles. On constate alors que le Conseil de ville protégeait les fondations pieuses de ses bourgeois, mais aussi qu’il s’efforçait de les limiter, enfin qu’il savait les orienter au profit des institutions ecclésiastiques dont il était proche. Et, de fait, les donations des bourgeois à la cité prouvent que le Conseil avait réussi à imposer une identité religieuse commune à la ville, dont il se présentait comme le pivot. |

| Summary, etc. | Memoria and city institutions in Regensburg in the late Middle Ages The studies devoted to the role the city institutions played in their inhabitants’ religious life insist upon its collective expressions, such as processions or divine offices commemorating key moments of the city history. This article intends instead to look into the individual practices of piety in Regensburg in the 14th and 15th centuries. It appears then that the city council protected his burghers’ memoria but also that it tried to restrict the expenses they devoted to their memoria and even that it directed their foundations towards the churches and convents it felt close to. Indeed ; the burghers’ pious donations to the city prove that the council had succeeded in constructing an urban religious identity and in putting itself at its center. |
