Le plan d’urbanisme de 1924 pose les bases d’une modernitéenracinée dans un passé national glorifié. L’article étudie ensuite l’évolution de lacapitale post-soviétique depuis l’indépendance, entre privatisation, spéculation,rénovation, « décommunisation » : l’architecture néo-arménienne apparaît commevalorisée sur le marché résidentiel. |

| Summary, etc. | Architecture and patrimony in Erevan : from the national identity to the soviet inheritance ? What is the sense of patrimony in the Armenian capital city ? This notion is mostlyassociated to the neo-armenian style in the architecture, which expanded underthe soviet period. The paper presents the genesis, the former celebration, and thepresent promotion of this architecture. The urban plan of 1924 lays the foundations of a modernity which was rooted in a glorified national past. The paperanalyses then the evolution of the post-soviet capital city since the independence,between privatization, speculation, urban renewal, ‘‘decommunization’’ : the neo-armenian architecture enjoys high values on the residential real estate market. |
