Some aim to ban nuclear weapons, others to create a more peaceful relationship within the framework of a pre-existing rivalry. The end of the Cold War offered an opportune moment in which to put these in place. Nevertheless and even more so since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, we are witnessing the almost complete unravelling of this structure. |

Ils peuvent viser à bannir les armes nucléaires ou à créer une relation plus apaisée dans le cadre d’une rivalité préexistante. L’affrontement États-Unis - URSS n’a pas empêché le développement de la maîtrise des armements. Mais l’on assiste, en particulier depuis la guerre en Ukraine, à un délitement, désormais presque achevé, de cette construction. |
