Summary, etc. The article analyzes the relationships between eurocentrism, epistemic prejudices of racial superiority and social sciences from a decolonial Latin American perspective. Some examples taken from philosophy and social sciences will be analyzed by assuming epistemically that the hegelian history of thought comes from the East and culminates in the West. For this eurocentric perspective, African culture does not exist and America is the future. They ignore that African and Amerindian civilizations have the same chronological and cultural value as the East. These eurocentric and racist ideas of the social sciences that constituted the Amerindians and Africans as the other in Europe will be questioned throughout this work. In the end, it is proposed to overcome these eurocentric myths from the theoretical proposal of transmodernity as a world dialogue of knowledge.

Summary, etc. El artículo analiza las relaciones que hay entre el eurocentrismo, los prejuicios epistémicos de superioridad racial y las ciencias sociales desde la perspectiva latinoamericana descolonial. Se analizarán algunos ejemplos tomados de la filosofía y las ciencias sociales al asumir epistémicamente que la historia hegeliana del pensamiento viene de Oriente y culmina en Occidente. Para esta perspectiva eurocéntrica la cultura Africana no existe y América es el futuro. Ignoran que las civilizaciones africanas y amerindias tienen el mismo valor cronológico y cultural que el Oriente. Estas ideas eurocéntricas y racistas de las ciencias sociales que constituyeron a los amerindios y africanos como lo otro de Europa serán cuestionadas a lo largo de este trabajo. Al final se propone superar estos mitos eurocéntricos desde la propuesta teórica de la transmodernidad como diálogo mundial de saberes.
