| Summary, etc. | Este artículo confronta dos novelas seriales, Les Mystères de Paris de Eugène Sue (1842) y la “réplica” portuguesa de esta novela matriz, Os Mysterios do Limoeiro do João Cândido de Carvalho (1849). A través de un análisis cruzado de sus incipit, momento inicial de la novela, en el que se desarrolla la entrada en la intriga, y se establece el pacto de lectura, el artículo examina cómo las dos narrativas invitan el lector a un descenso en los mundos subterráneos de la capital, donde la lectura se convierte en una aventura, y se desarrolla una topología imaginaria de los bajos fondos. |
