| Summary, etc. | La esquizofrenia de principio precoz (SDP) es una entidad nosográfica reciente en pedopsiquiatría, actualmente definida como un trastorno multifactorial de desarrollo cerebral. Su etiopatogenia sigue siendo difícil de modelizar, intrincándose factores de riesgo genéticos, prenatales y unas desviaciones en juego en el desarrollo. La SDP presenta particularidades clínicas con relación a la forma adulta, con típicamente un desarrollo precoz alterado. Además, determinadas características sintomáticas deben empujar el clínico a buscar formas secundarias, de origen somático. La atención debe ser integrativa e incluir un tratamiento antipsicótico, vigilándose con regularidad la aparición de efectos indeseables. |
