| Summary, etc. | In this article we explore the principal conceptual approaches which have addressed the phenomenon of associations over the last two decades: the non-profit making sector, the social work economy, social enterprises and entrepreneurial social action. Our analysis leads first of all to the observation that these approaches change over time: they reflect the practices in force and in return legitimise these practices. This analysis also permits us to note how these changes produce a blurring of the boundaries, as the boundaries between the categories of economic players become progressively less marked. This blurring is to the disadvantage of an a priori recognition of the particular character of each type of organisation, including the recognition of those of associations. |

| Summary, etc. | En este artículo, exploramos las principales perspectivas conceptuales que engloban el fenómeno asociativo desde hace más de dos decenios: el sector no mercantil, la economía social, la empresa social y el emprendimiento social. Nuestro análisis conduce a observar, en primer lugar, que estas perspectivas evolucionan a lo largo del tiempo: reflejan prácticas en vigor y —en un efecto de vuelta—conducen a hacer legítimas estas prácticas. El análisis permite también constatar que esta evolución conduce a un fenómeno de «difusión de las fronteras», en donde los límites entre categorías de actores económicos parecen disolverse progresivamente. Esta disolución pone en peligro el reconocimiento a priori de las especificidades de cada tipo de organización, incluido el reconocimiento de las peculiaridades asociativas. |
