| Summary, etc. | Bouddhisme et transhumanisme semblent avoir de nombreux points communs. Des découvertes scientifiques récentes, surtout en matière de neuroscience, semblent confirmer ce que le bouddhisme a découvert et décrit depuis longtemps. Ils ne sont néanmoins pas nécessairement véritablement proches. Le bouddhisme invite à découvrir, pour soi-même, ce que le transhumanisme promet de rendre accessible à chacun par le biais de la technologie, quelles que soient les intentions de l'individu. La confrontation des deux révèle des postulats de base divergents et nous permet de contester certaines affirmations transhumanistes. |

| Summary, etc. | Buddhism and transhumanism seem to share a lot of common ground. Recent scientific developments, especially in neuroscience, seem to confirm what Buddhist practitioners have long discovered and described. Yet, both do not necessarily prove so close to each other. Buddhism is an invitation to discover, for oneself, what transhumanism promises to render available to anyone via technology, regardless of the individual’s intentions. The confrontation of both shows diverging ground assumptions, and helps us question some transhumanist claims. |
