Summary, etc. El crecimiento del mercado informal de alquiler en Beirut se aceleró con la llegada masiva de refugiados sirios cuando estalló la guerra en Siria en 2011. Los más vulnerables se ven obligados a alquilar en zonas no reguladas de las afueras de la ciudad. Sin un marco regulador, las dinámicas generadas por el alquiler son uno de los factores determinantes de la ampliación de las desigualdades socioespaciales, tanto dentro de los barrios como entre éstos y el resto de la ciudad. El objetivo es apoyar esta idea analizando cómo "viven" los refugiados sirios y las relaciones de poder entre quienes participan en el alquiler informal. Clasificación JEL: K40, O17, P25, R23
