| Summary, etc. | In this text, it is intended to approach the puerperal clinic in a theoretical and descriptive way: symptoms and risk factors, the repercussions on the earliest interactions and their subsequent impact on the development of the child’s psyche, as well as, the emotional experience of motherhood from the mother’s perspective.A search for information in Spanish and English was carried out in the following electronic databases: Medline, Pubmed, PsycInfo, Elsevier and Google Scholar. Moreover, in specific books on Postpartum Depression, in two monographic guides on Perinatal Psychiatry and in audiovisual material from the Master Degree in Perinatal Psychopathology.The general diagnosis manuals DSM and ICD make the correct diagnosis of the puerperal clinic difficult due to their rigidity in the categories they describe. Perinatal Psychiatry does define specifically: childbirth blues, postpartum depression, and puerperal psychosis with a prevalence, respectively, of 50%, 10-15% and 0.1-0.2%.It is vitally important to continue influencing the correct diagnosis of these disorders as well as the accompaniment of families in order to promote their integral well-being and minimize the repercussions in early interactions and the subsequent impact on the development of the child’s psyche. |

| Summary, etc. | En el presente texto se pretende abordar de manera teórica y descriptiva la clínica puerperal: los síntomas y factores de riesgo, las repercusiones en las interacciones más tempranas y su posterior impacto en el desarrollo del psiquismo del niño, así como también, la vivencia emocional de la maternidad desde el punto de vista de la madre.Se ha realizado una búsqueda de información en español y en inglés en las siguientes bases electrónicas: Medline, Pubmed, PsycInfo, Elsevier y Google Scholar. También, en libros específicos de depresión postparto y maternidad, en dos guías monográficas sobre Psiquiatría Perinatal y en material audiovisual del Máster Oficial de Psicopatología Perinatal.Los manuales de diagnóstico generales DSM y CIE dificultan el correcto diagnóstico de la clínica puerperal por su rigidez en las categorías que describen. La Psiquiatría Perinatal sí define específicamente el blues del parto, la depresión postparto y la psicosis puerperal con una prevalencia, respectivamente, de 50%, 10-15% y 0,1-0,2%.Es de vital importancia seguir incidiendo en el correcto diagnóstico de dichos trastornos, así como en el acompañamiento a las familias para poder favorecer su bienestar integral y reducir al máximo las repercusiones en las interacciones tempranas y el posterior impacto en el desarrollo del psiquismo del niño. |
