| Summary, etc. | Introduction: Health begins in the pre-conception and gestational period. This leads to a concern for improving health care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. Objective: To find out about mental health prevention interventions during pregnancy and the postpartum period in primary care. Methodology: A literature review was carried out in the following databases: PubMed, Cumulative Index in Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Scopus, Web of Science and Cochrane Library. The search for scientific articles was carried out in English and Spanish. The selected keywords used were: «pregnancy», «postpartum», «follow-up studies», «mental health» and «prevention strategies». After several analysis processes, 25 papers were selected. Results: Two analytical categories emerged from the analysis of the literature: preconception prevention and pregnancy and postpartum prevention. The first category includes the main international indications for improving people’s reproductive health. The second one details the indications for health care in pregnancy and postpartum to prevent mental health disorders and/or to follow pregnancies with mental health problems. Discussion and conclusions: All the authors agree on the importance of the preconception, gestational and postpartum periods for women, due to their direct repercussions on the health of their children. The work provides a basis for the development of mental health prevention interventions in these periods and for the creation of perinatal mental health care circuits. |

| Summary, etc. | Introducción: La salud comienza en el periodo previo a la concepción y en la gestación. Ello conlleva la preocupación por mejorar la atención sanitaria a las mujeres en la gestación, parto y puerperio. Objetivo: Conocer las intervenciones de prevención de salud mental en la gestación y el puerperio en Atención Primaria. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en las siguientes bases de datos: PubMed, Cumulative Index in Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Scopus, Web of Science y Cochrane Library. La búsqueda de los artículos científicos se realizó en inglés y en español. Las palabras clave utilizadas seleccionadas fueron: «pregnancy», «postpartum», «follow-up studies», «mental health» y «prevention strategies». Tras varios procesos de análisis se seleccionaron 25 trabajos. Resultados: Del análisis de la bibliografía emergieron dos categorías analíticas: prevención preconcepcional y prevención en la gestación y el postparto. En la primera se recogen las principales indicaciones internacionales para mejorar la salud reproductiva de las personas. En la segunda se detallan las indicaciones de atención sanitaria en la gestación y el postparto, para prevenir las alteraciones de la salud mental y/o seguir gestaciones con problemas de salud mental. Discusión y conclusiones: Todos los autores coinciden en la relevancia del periodo preconcepcional, gestacional y de puerperio de la mujer, por su directa repercusión sobre la salud de sus hijos. El trabajo aporta fundamentación para el desarrollo de intervenciones de prevención de la salud mental en estos periodos y para la creación de circuitos de atención a la salud mental perinatal. |
