| Summary, etc. | Como arma peligrosa que puede avivar el odio, la venganza también puede considerarse como un medio de buscar la justicia y el control social sobre la violencia, siempre que esté inscrita en una organización y una dinámica culturalmente definidas. Su tratamiento social, que conduce a la renuncia, refleja entonces el sistema de valores de cada sociedad y revela así las estructuras simbólicas implicadas. En la postmodernidad de nuestras sociedades occidentales, ¿qué contención permite esta renuncia? Este artículo, basado en una tesis doctoral en psicología, pretende abordar este tema y revela dos figuras del vengador, el héroe y el bárbaro, que hablan de la relación con la alteridad y la cultura. |
