| Summary, etc. | El referéndum es a menudo criticado por ser muy poco deliberativo. En oposición a la «fuerza no coercitiva del mejor argumento» que habita en el ideal deliberativo, la votación sanciona una relación de fuerza: la ley de los muchos. El secreto del voto tampoco ayuda a una actitud deliberativa. En este artículo describe una práctica —la votación justificada— que puede hacer que el acto de votar y los referendos sean más deliberativos, al promover una actitud más deliberativa en la cabina de votación y estimular el debate público. Combinado con el uso de minipúblicos, abre nuevas perspectivas para la participación democrática mediante referéndum. |
