| Summary, etc. | Le rapprochement photographique d’une petite tête de koré, aujourd’hui perdue, et d’un torse trouvé en 1991 dans la fouille de l’Héraion permet désormais de reconstituer pour l’essentiel l’image d’une koré contemporaine des célèbres offrandes de Chéramyès. L’analyse d’une figurine de terre cuite trouvée jadis à Sélinonte, mais longtemps négligée, conduit l’A. à réexaminer ce rapprochement : l’image plus complète et plus exacte qui en ressort confirme les liens depuis longtemps reconnus avec la plastique samienne d’une autre tête, Berlin, 1631, trouvée à Milet, mais traditionnellement rapprochée de la précédente, et dont seule la date (540/530) paraissait empêcher de mettre le type en relation avec les grandes korés du Louvre et de Samos. Or un document récemment publié renouvelle profondément les données chronologiques : un exemplaire du type de protomé trouvé par Boehlau dans la nécropole de Samos, dont la parenté est immédiate avec la tête de Berlin, et qui pour cette raison avait été daté aussi du 3e quart du siècle, a été découvert en Sicile dans un contexte funéraire antérieur à 570. Il n’y a donc plus de difficulté à tenir la tête de Milet pour une œuvre samienne de la même époque, et à en utiliser le type pour tenter une reconstitution graphique des korés de Chéramyès. |

| Summary, etc. | Remarks on some Samian Korai of the time of CheramyesComparisons between a photograph of a kore head, now lost and a bust found at the Samian Heraion in 1991 allows a proposed reconstruction of a kore type of the period of the Cheramyes offerings. A terracotta from Selinus, long neglected, has led the A. to this comparison. It confirms the long observed connection between the head Berlin 1631, from Miletus, and the Samian heads, though its alleged date (540/530) seems to impede relationship with the great korai of the Louvre and Samos. An example of the clay protome type found by Boehlau at Samos, obviously related to the Berlin head, has been found in Sicily in a context no later than 570. Thus, the Miletus head may be taken as Samian of the same period, and contributes to a graphic reconstruction of the Cheramyes korai. |
