| Summary, etc. | Este texto trata de dos amistades y dos libros. Elihu Katz y Todd Gitlin, que murieron casi al mismo tiempo en 2022, eran amigos míos, pero también eran adversarios decididos, compañeros en un debate que ha dividido durante mucho tiempo a la sociología de los medios de comunicación. Los dos libros son Personal Influence (en español: La influencia personal) escrito por Elihu Katz y Paul Lazarsfeld y Media Events (en español: La historia en directo), escrito casi cuarenta años después por Elihu Katz y yo. Combinando el testimonio directo y el análisis crítico, propongo aquí una relectura de estos dos libros y de sus respectivas genealogías, que apuntan al postestructuralismo francés y la teología judía. |
