| Summary, etc. | Le Brésil, un pays au territoire immense, a adopté une nouvelle législation forestière en 2012. L’examen du projet de loi par le Congrès National (Chambre des Députés et Sénat) a été accompagné de très près par la population et plusieurs audiences publiques ont été réalisées. Les innovations se situent au niveau des forêts de protection et des réserves légales – parcelles obligatoirement boisées dans chaque propriété rurale. La nouvelle loi a accordé l’amnistie à quelques infractions forestières et cette amnistie a suscité de grande discussion et un profond désaccord. La présence du pouvoir public dans la surveillance des actions forestières a été affaiblie. |
