| Summary, etc. | Présentée – à l’instar de la première « loi Montagne » (du 9 janvier 1985) – comme relative à la protection et au développement des zones de montagne, celle du 28 décembre 2016 fait primer le second sur la première. Même s’il affirme des principes intéressants, le nouveau texte n’est pas à la hauteur des défis menaçant l’environnement en montagne. Le seul progrès notable réside dans l’obligation de démonter les installations de remontées mécaniques obsolètes. |

| Summary, etc. | Presented – as was the first Mountain act (January 9th of 1985) – as a protection and development of mountain areas law, the one of December 28th of 2016 insist on the latter more than on the protection objective. Even though it affirms some interesting principles, the new act is not properly facing the current challenges threatening the mountain environment. The only notable progress is the obligation to remove the obsolete ski lift systems. |
