But, in climate change litigations, the plaintiffs want to obtain the prevention of climate damage, in particularly the reduction of the greenhouse gaze. That’ why, this paper intends to show how, by asking compensation measures, plaintiffs try also to obtain some preventives measures. |

| Summary, etc. | La responsabilité civile occupe une place essentielle dans le contentieux climatique qui se déroule dans un grand nombre de pays. Traditionnellement, elle a pour finalité d’obtenir la réparation des dommages. Toutefois, le but des demandeurs à l’action est d’obtenir la prévention des dommages climatiques, en particulier obtenir la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Or, cette contribution entend montrer que, derrière l’objectif de réparation, se cache bien souvent celui de la prévention. |
