| Summary, etc. | Dans leur approche de la gestion des déchets dangereux, les adhérents du Sypred maximisent la protection de la santé et de l’environnement. Les usines des adhérents sont dédiées à la destruction des polluants contenus dans les déchets dangereux. Le déchet est décontaminé avant valorisation matière, lorsque cela est faisable, sinon il est intégralement détruit. De plus, en détruisant des gaz à PRG élevé, les usines Sypred évitent l’émission de quantités très importantes de gaz à effet de serre. Une telle approche doit pouvoir s’appuyer sur une volonté politique environnementale forte des gouvernements. Le Sypred soutient les décisions publiques sur les déchets dangereux ambitieuses du point de vue sanitaire et environnemental. Et lorsque le législateur est tenté, comme aujourd’hui, de revenir sur certains progrès accomplis, le Sypred tire l’alarme car cette dérégulation porterait préjudice à la santé et à l’environnement. |

| Summary, etc. | Member plants are dedicated to destroying pollutants contained in hazardous waste. The waste is decontaminated prior to material recovery, and, when not feasible, integrally destroyed. Moreover, by destroying high GWP gases, Sypred plants avoid the emission of very high quantities of greenhouse gases. This approach needs to be supported by a strong environmental political will of governments. Sypred supports public decisions on hazardous waste management which are ambitious as regards health and environmental protection. And when the policy maker is tempted, as happens today, to destroy some progresses, Sypred pulls the alarm as such deregulation would be detrimental to health and environment. |
