520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Under the heading of the "commons" is the Small heritage, both heritage of proximity and heritage of lesser scope than the architectural heritage or monumental, but of a richness commensurate with its diversity. It is found mainly in rural areas, and its constitution has been directly linked to the daily life of successive populations over the years and centuries, resulting from their domestic as well as productive activities, religious ceremonies and secular rites. The nature and destination of its components justify that they should not be abandoned, or even ignored, in favour of public policies more favourable to the preservation and enhancement of what could be considered as elements of a more noble heritage and culturally more worthy of conservation and/or rehabilitation. In this regard, it is necessary to consider not only the essence of the concept of small heritage, but also its relationship with related concepts with which it cannot be confused or which cannot absorb it. It is then necessary to determine its consistency and specify its content, which make it specific. Finally, it is important to present the management methods and the conditions for recovery, from a dual environmental and tourism perspective. |
