Sa particularité majeure réside dans le fait que lorsque sa structure matérielle se détériore, la communauté humaine qui l’occupe laisse l’édifice s’effondrer et reconstruit ailleurs. Elle est en outre un des avatars du système à maison décrit par Claude Lévi-Strauss. Lieu d’habitat collectif, de transmission des savoirs, de pratique de la politique, la maloca est un exemple au carrefour des notions de communs et d’environnement. Elle est enfin un objet permettant de s’essayer à la multidisciplinarité, de pratiquer le droit et ses sciences ancillaires pour aborder les problématiques contemporaines complexes du droit de l’environnement. |

Its major characteristic is that when its material structure deteriorates, the human community that occupies it lets the building collapse and rebuilds elsewhere. It is also one of the avatars of the house system described by Claude Lévi-Strauss. As a place for collective housing, for the transmission of knowledge, and for the practice of politics, the maloca is an example at the crossroads of the notions of the commons and the environment.
