| Summary, etc. | An (empiricist) theory of law is not, strictly speaking, a theory of law, but a theory of science (of law) : a meta-science. For this reason, the strong theses supported by such a theory are less theoretical theses (about law) and more meta-theoretical theses (about science) : epistemological theses, meta-ethical theses, methodological theses. The proper theoretical theses of an (empiricist) theory of law are ontological theses about law, which are totally dependent on meta-theoretical theses, and as such are weak theses. |

| Summary, etc. | Une théorie (empiriste) du droit n’est pas à proprement parler une théorie du droit mais une théorie de la science (du droit) : une méta-science. Pour cette raison, les thèses fortes qu’une telle théorie soutient sont moins des thèses théoriques (du droit) que des thèses méta-théoriques (sur la science) : des thèses épistémologiques, des thèses méta-éthiques, des thèses méthodologiques.
