Ce processus fait apparaître une scène complexe dans laquelle le sentiment d’appartenance identitaire lié à la préservation est diversement déployé par des catégories d’acteurs différentes. La confrontation de ces différents niveaux de discours permet ainsi de saisir de quelle façon peut se manifester l’appartenance au Xinjiang à travers les procédés alternatifs d’énoncer et de pratiquer le patrimoine. |

| Summary, etc. | Territorial and identity negotiations in Xinjiang (China): the case of the patrimonialization of Muslim shrinesThis article examines the patrimonialization of the tombs of Muslim saints in Xinjiang, describing the different tensions, accommodations and negotiations resulting from such practice. This process reveals a complex scene in which the sense of identity associated with preservation is variously deployed by diverse categories of actors. The confrontation of these multilayered discourses thus allows us to understand how the belonging to Xinjiang can be manifested today through the alternative methods of enunciating and practicing heritage. |
