Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | In the last phase of his life and his research, Michel Henry brought his own phenomenology of life into dialogue with the kerygma and Christian thought, believing that, from its origins, Christianity has lived the revelation of God not as a knowledge but as a life, the very Life of God into which men are invited to enter, a life which configures human beings from the Trinitarian perspective as sons in the Son, thus re-reading Christianity as a philosopher, or as archi-phenomenology. Thanks to this philosophical aim, the fundamental principles of Christianity can have a new rational explanation, and Christian thought as such, acting as an interpretative prism, helps to shed a different light on the general principles and operational strategies of phenomenology. In this way, we acquire two strong points, which lead Henry to highlight, on the one hand, the phenomenological connotation of the first, and on the other hand, but simultaneously, to defend the right and the importance of attention to the Christian phenomenon through philosophical investigation. Among the many themes taken into consideration by Henry, for this essay we have chosen to analyze the Trinity-humanity relationship and the concept of truth of Christianity, which Henry opposes to the truth of the world. |
