| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’unité de l’ancienne et de la nouvelle Alliance, comme celle du sens littéral et spirituel de l’Écriture Sainte, est intérieure à la théologie du Christ Grand Prêtre que saint Thomas propose, en particulier dans son commentaire de l’ Épître aux Hébreux. Son étude de He 8-9 manifeste que l’accomplissement de l’ancienne Alliance et l’inauguration de la nouvelle surviennent dans l’acte par lequel le Christ, abaissé en sa Passion, parvient à sa consommation glorieuse, comme le figurait la structure du Temple et l’acte sacerdotal qui s’y accomplissait. |

| Summary, etc. | The unity of the Old and New Covenants, like that of the literal and spiritual senses of Sacred Scripture, is intrinsic to the theology of Christ the High Priest proposed by Saint Thomas, in particular in his Commentary on the Letter to the Hebrews. His study of Heb 8-9 manifests that the fulfillment of the Old Covenant and the inauguration of the New come to pass within the act by which Christ, brought low in his Passion, reaches his own glorious fulfillment, as prefigured in the structure of the Temple and the priestly act that was accomplished therein. |
