Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | The Concept of Truth in Phillip the Chancellor’s S umma de bono (Q. I-III)This article aims to elucidate the concept of truth as it appears in the first three questions of Phillip the Chancellor’s Summa de bono (1225-1228), here translated for the first time into French. Towards the end of grasping the ontological conception of the true promoted by the Parisian theologian, we examine the logic of convertibility and the relations of analogy which organize and structure his « system » of transcendentals, and so we bring to light the fashion in which Phillip treated the competing definitions of truth which offered themselves to him. |
