| Summary, etc. | RésuméSi le concept de « personne » semble aux premiers abords étranger à l’œuvre de Franz Rosenzweig, il semblerait toutefois que ce qu’il désigne dans l’ Étoile de la Rédemption sous le mot « âme » et ce qu’il décrit de ses conversions successives, questionnent le statut même d’un « concept » de personne. Ainsi l’âme, expression féminine d’une tension insurmontable entre Éros et Thanatos, permet d’appréhender la personne` comme un concept fuyant ou toujours en devenir, à l’image du paradigme biblique de l’exil amoureux de la Sulamite dans le Cantique des cantiques, contrepoint de la Révélation dans l’ Étoile de la Rédemption. |

| Summary, etc. | If the concept of “person” initially seems alien to the work of Franz Rosenzweig, it would nevertheless appear that what he means by the word “soul” in the Star of Redemption, and his descriptions of its successive conversions, questions the very status of a “concept” of person. Thus, the soul, which is the feminine expression of an insurmountable tension between Eros and Thanatos, allows us to apprehend the person as a fleeting concept, or one that is always in the process of becoming. This is akin to the biblical paradigm of the amorous exile of the Shulamite woman in the Song of Songs, which serves as a counterpoint to Revelation in the Star of Redemption. |
