| Summary, etc. | RésuméPour penser l’eucharistie dans le climat contemporain, l’auteur s’appuie sur la vue d’ensemble de la philosophie de la religion récemment développée par Jean Greisch. Tandis que Greisch favorise le modèle herméneutique pour la philosophie de la religion, l’auteur montre qu’une réhabilitation de la pensée spéculative, comme p. ex. celle de l’intellectuel romantique Franz von Baader, pourrait être à l’ordre du jour dans le domaine de la théologie de l’eucharistie. Car il y a de bons arguments pour continuer un lien avec la métaphysique quand on sonde les profondeurs du mystère eucharistique. En particulier, c’est parce que l’herméneutique ne peut se fonder que sur une philosophie de la finitude et parce que l’eucharistie engage nécessairement l’infini aussi bien que le fini, que la perspective de l’herméneutique profiterait beaucoup d’un élargissement de son horizon.Les réflexions offertes sont surtout développées à travers une discussion de l’œuvre de Louis-Marie Chauvet, qui est d’ailleurs incontournable en théologie sacramentaire. Cet œuvre même semble s’ouvrir prudemment vers une plus grande confiance en métaphysique que l’on en attendait au moment où Symbole et Sacrement est apparu. |

| Summary, etc. | Considering the EucharistTo consider the Eucharist today, the author bases himself on philosophy of religion’s overarching perspective, developed by Jean Greisch. Whilst Greisch privileges the hermeneutic model for philosophy of religion, the author aims to show that a rehabilitation of speculative thought, as deployed for ex. by the romantic intellectual Franz von Baader, could be of timely use for the field of eucharistic theology. There are a number of strong arguments in favour of maintaining ties with metaphysics when examining the depths of the mystery of the Eucharist. Because hermeneutics can only base itself on a philosophy of the finite whereas the Eucharist engages with the infinite as well as the finite, hermeneutics would benefit considerably from a widening of its horizon.The considerations offered here are articulated around a discussion of Louis-Marie Chauvet’s work, an inescapable landmark in sacramental theology. This work seems to cautiously signal a greater trust in metaphysics than expected at the time when Symbol and Sacrament appeared. |
