| Summary, etc. | RésuméDeux moments de l’histoire de la théologie politique de Metz illustrent la question de son rapport à la politique. Le premier, celui des discussions provoquées par la parution du volume Zur Theologie der Welt, permet d’apercevoir que le rapport à la politique dépend de la façon dont la théologie relit l’histoire. L’autre moment, celui d’une confrontation avec la notion schmittienne de représentation, permet de préciser le rapport entre les différentes conceptions du temps et la théologie. Ce parcours permet de préciser les tâches de la théologie politique comme théologie universitaire. |

| Summary, etc. | There are two moments in the history of Metz’s political theology that illustrate its relation to politics. First, the debates surrounding the publication of his Zur Theologie der Welt demonstrate that the way theology relates to politics depends on its interpretation of history. A second moment, that of Metz’s engagement with Carl Schmitt’s notion of representation, enables us to specify the relation between theology and different conceptions of time. Metz’s itinerary makes it possible to identify the tasks of political theology as an academic theological discipline. |
