| Summary, etc. | RésuméLorsqu’Henri Bouillard commence sa formation, la scène théologique est occupée notamment par l’apologétique classique selon laquelle la révélation s’impose à nous de l’extérieur. Sa lecture de Maurice Blondel le familiarise à l’idée que l’homme est naturellement ouvert au surnaturel, et elle le conduit à sortir de l’apologétique classique pour esquisser une apologétique nouvelle pour laquelle le christianisme s’impose à nous de l’intérieur, à partir de ce que nous sommes. Sa fréquentation ultérieure d’Éric Weil l’incite à dialoguer avec la pensée séculière de son temps, et l’amène à quitter l’apologétique blondélienne pour préconiser une théologie fondamentale selon laquelle le message évangélique ne s’impose plus, mais se propose à partir de notre quête de sens. Elle le conforte à ne pas relever le défi des sciences humaines. |

| Summary, etc. | When Henri Bouillard starts his training, theology is dominated, among others, by classical apologetics which holds that revelation imposes itself upon us from the external world. Through his readings of Maurice Blondel he gets familiar to the idea that man naturally becomes aware of the supernatural, which leads him to move away from traditional apologetics to outline a new one claiming that christianity imposes upon us inwardly, from what we are. His later company with Éric Weil encourages him to enter into dialogue with the secular thought of his time, leading him to give up Blondel’s apologetics in order to advocate a fundamental theology according to which the evangelical message does not impose itself anymore but rather offers itself from our search for meaning ; it reinforces him not to take up the challenge of human sciences. |
