| Summary, etc. | Cet article se propose de montrer que la compréhension et la résolution des vulnérabilités économiques ne peut se faire sans prendre en compte les relations sociales auxquelles elles sont associées. À cette fin nous opposons dans un premier temps deux conceptions de la coordination des décisions économiques individuelles. Puis nous tentons de montrer que ces deux conceptions débouchent sur des propositions différentes, voire contradictoires, des politiques économiques. Nous illustrons ensuite notre propos en prenant trois exemples qui font ressortir que ce sont les faiblesses du lien social, bien plus que les imperfections de marchés, qui expliquent certaines des vulnérabilités majeures auxquelles nous avons à faire face. |

| Summary, etc. | This article intends to show that understanding and resolving economic vulnerabilities can’t be achieved without taking into account of social bonds with which they are associated. To this end, we first contrast two conceptions of the co-ordination of individual economic decisions. We then try to show that these two conceptions lead to different, if not contradictory, propositions of economic policies. Lastly we develop three examples that point out that it is the weaknesses of social cohesion, rather than market imperfections, that explain some of the main vulnerabilities we have to face. |
