520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The chapter 36 of the book of Jeremiah was often studied to explain the fall of Jerusalem because of the rejection of the divine word by King Yoyaqim, described as antitype of his father Josiah in 2 Kings 22-23. But looking closely, Jr 36 gives great importance to the writing and to the figure of Jeremiah, which is described with Mosaic traits. It appears that by valuing the authority of Jeremiah, the author of Jr 36 suggests that the prophetic scroll should be considered as authoritative text, like the book of the Law, described in 2 K 22-23.
