| Summary, etc. | Cet article s’intéresse à la manière dont les agents de surveillance communautaire construisent leur compétence relationnelle au sein d’un système doté de contraintes. À partir d’une analyse des autorisations de sorties données dans le cadre d’une assignation à domicile au Québec, l’article cherche à comprendre comment les agents gèrent la tension entre contrôle et aide inhérente à la peine d’emprisonnement avec sursis et comment ils intègrent les contraintes du système à leur prise de décision. Les résultats montrent que les autorisations peuvent être utilisées comme outil d’intervention, de collaboration ou de réinsertion sociale. Ils soulignent également que si les pratiques des agents s’inscrivent dans le cadre d’un système fondé sur la gestion des risques, elles évoluent au fil des relations avec les contrevenants, et sont susceptibles d’être infléchies par la confiance qui se crée entre l’agent et le contrevenant. |

| Summary, etc. | This article analyses the way community-based supervisors build their relationship and interpersonal skills in the context of the system of conditional sentences (house arrest) in Quebec. Based on an analysis of how supervisors decide to allow offenders to spend time outside their home (authorizations), the article aims at understanding how supervisors manage the tensions resulting from the seemingly opposing goals of help and control; and how they integrate the constraints of the system into their decision-making process. The results show that authorizations can be used as a tool for intervention, collaboration or social reintegration. They underline that these practices are intrinsic to a system based on risk management, but also evolve with offender relationships and the trust created between supervisor and offender. |

Analiza las autorizaciones de salida que se conceden en Quebec como parte del arresto domiciliario para comprender cómo gestionan estos profesionales la tensión entre la supervisión y la asistencia que son propios a la sentencia condicional y cómo integran las limitaciones del sistema en la toma de decisiones. Los resultados muestran que las autorizaciones pueden utilizarse como una herramienta de intervención, colaboración o reinserción social. También señalan que si las prácticas de los agentes son parte de un sistema de gestión de riesgos, éstas evolucionan a lo largo de la relación con el arrestado y es probable que se vean afectadas por la confianza que se crea entre el técnico y el delincuente. |

| Summary, etc. | Bewährungshelfer in einer speziellen kanadischen Einrichtungsform, bei denen der Übergang aus dem Gefängnis als eine Form von Hausarrest organisiert wird, müssen immer wieder Entscheidungen darüber fällen, unter welchen Bedingungen den Verurteilten Ausgang gewährt werden kann. Der Artikel untersucht anhand der Ausgangsentscheidungen, wie Bewährungshelfer in diesem Spannungsfeld zwischen Hilfe und Kontrolle interpersonale Kompetenzen herstellen und wie sie die Zwänge in ihre Entscheidungspraxis integrieren. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Entscheidungen für die Autorisierung eines Ausgangs als Mittel der Intervention genutzt werden, um Zusammenarbeit oder soziale Reintegration erreichen zu wollen. Darüber hinaus zeigt sich eine Orientierung der Entscheidungen an einem Rahmen des Risikomanagements, aber auch eine Entwicklung im Laufe der Beziehung zu den Verurteilten, bei der Vertrauen eine Rolle spielt. |
