520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Mutual insurance companies in Europe: the challenge of the identityAll over Europe, mutual benefit societies are a reality. They are expressing their originality through their united approach, and their European platform of lobbying, but also through their undeniable resistance over more than 150 years in the European economic landscape. The mutual benefit societies are characterised by a specific identity, which is fixed into the European territory. This identity encourages connections between each other and simultaneously differentiates them from any other kind of organization. The European challenge of mutual benefit societies is certainly in the attitude to adopt. It will be a question for the mutual benefit societies of taking up a double challenge in this respect: first of all, to better understand the identity of mutual societies which is shared in Europe and, at the same time, to better promote this identity in order to preserve it. |
