Il s’agit d’envisager autrement les histoires nationales en les mesurant et les critiquant à l’aune de l’Europe, en cessant de les dire incomparables. Les principes programmatiques à l’avenir devraient être le mixage des territoires-temps, l’examen des vrais lieux de mémoire, l’étude du choc des nations et des empires, celle des peuples sans nation, des réseaux des élites et de l’urbanité. Tout passe par une reconnaissance de l’altérité et de la pluralité. |

National histories should be envisaged in other ways, assessing and criticizing them in relation to Europe, refusing to call them incomparable. Programmatic principles in the future should be the mixing of territories-time, the examination of the real places of memory, the study of the shock of nations and empires, that of peoples without nations, networks of the elites and urbanity. Everything has to go through the recognition of alternation and plurality. |
